Following are some examples of the work we've done.
MBM is a legal firm specializing in intellectual property. The graphic design for the site was done by a partner company and Bectin built the site using Joomla. It leverages a number of technologies to provide functionality such as the people search and directory facility as well as an easy-to-use administrative interface for adding and removing people's profiles.
SquareFoot Design is a Toronto interior design company that wanted a site that showed off their stunning design style in the commercial/restaurant space. This site features a tightly integrated photo gallery for profiling the work they've done in bringing life to commercial spaces.
TWAIN Working Group is a not-for-profit organization which represents the imaging industry. TWAIN's purpose is to provide and foster a universal public standard which links applications and image acquisition devices. We worked with a design provided by their design company to build this site. The site included custom database work for registering, approving and displaying certified devices.
Marianne Cuhaci is a Registered Social Worker Specializing in Adolescent and Family Issues. Marianne needed to establish a presence on the Web and we helped her craft her message to extend her reach.
KATOS Cleaning is a small residential cleaning company that needed a refresh on their Web site and wanted to get control of their on-line presence with a site they could maintain themselves. We helped them refine their message a little bit and leveraged our internal design services and some stock photography to deliver a unique site that is right on message.
Cafe Cognac is a cafe in Gatineau, QC best known for its Thursday mussels and Fries special. We worked with a local designer and photographer to build a site to showcase their food and make it easy for regular customers to stay in touch by subscribing to the company's mailing list. The mailing subscription integrates the site sign-up form with an e-mail management system to make it easy for customers to register and the restaurant to contact them. It's also bilingual to address their diverse customer base.
Whole Body Healing is a retail/wholesaler of therapist and health industry supplies. Bectin created an e-commerce solution for them built on the Zen-Cart system.
Hockey Heritage North needed a new site that would be easy for their staff to maintain and brought a fresh, new, modern look to the site that reflected the three distinct functions that their facility serves. We helped them to refine their requirements and brought a custom design to the site. The site features an application form for booking events, a special events/calendar system, photo gallery, and the ability to play videos from YouTube.
Udellican, an Ottawa-based general contractor needed a site that show-cased their work and introduced their services. They were looking for a light, clean look and Bectin created this design working with the customer's existing portfolio of job-site photos. We worked closely with the customer to develop the content and structure it most effectively for their residential and commercial customers.
Le Saint Eloi is a bistro in Gatineau, QC with a beautiful view of the lake and Casino. The site shows off the location and facilities as well as the food at the cafe and provides an easy method for visitors interested in reserving the facility for special events to determine which days are available. The site is also bilingual and includes an integrated localization system.
The Minto Skating Club is an historical skating Club in Ottawa that needed a new site that would allow them to get information for their members posted more quickly. Making the news current made the site useful as a primary method of communication. This not-for-profit needed to keep costs down, so we tweaked one of Joomla's standard templates to create their site. The site features photo multiple photo galleries, a calendaring system for displaying club and other skating events, and a buy-and-sell classifieds facility.
Jenings Myofascial Release is a the home of a myofascial release massage therapist and trainer. We migrated their site content from a difficult-to-use system to Joomla and refreshed the look of the site with a new template. To help them sell their products and services on-line, we set up a simple system using PayPal's shopping cart.
Learn2cook.org is a not-for-profit group based in Barrie, that developed a 7 DVD set of videos on how to cook healthy, nutritious, and economical family meals. We helped them to develop and structure their content and did the screen captures from their videos. The site features some embedded video players to preview their work.
Rachel Beausoleil is an Ottawa-based vocalist that needed a site to promote her gigs, preview her music and connect people to where they could buy her CD. Her site features a built-in music player, embedded video streaming from YouTube and a gallery of her promotional photos.
Club Quad Trois-lacs is an ATV club in Montreal that needed a new Web site that could be easily maintained and updated quickly to post trail conditions and event details. The site features an events/calendar system, photo gallery, and embedded YouTube video streaming.
The National Capital Ice Caps is a synchro skating team in Ottawa and they needed a Web site to help them recruit new skaters and communicate effectively with the members of the team. We put together a simple site with a calendar to display their schedule of events, a contact form and pages for their photos and other information.
